What Is Easy?
To let go? Or to stay?
 To ignore? Or to react?
 To overlook? Or to acknowledge?
We all are
afraid to fall, every minute, every moment. With each breath we inhale, we
worry about what next are we going to do wrong? What next are we going to lose?
Job? Friends? Family? Opportunity we’ve long waited for? Or our own self?
Slowly and gradually, there comes a stage where we finally stop. Stop talking,
stop laughing, stop being the way we were before. We eventually stop loving and
all that develops within us is just an urge to hold on. Hold on to things which
are still with us, hold on to people we never want to lose, hold on to some feelings
we never want to go numb.
We’re
scared. We all are scared.
Sometimes, we
get shattered to bits and are in a shambles, yet we want to trust. We want to
believe that everything would later or sooner fall into place. While there are
days when we are supposed to feel happy and satisfied yet something is aching
deep inside us, making us feel petrified, broken and unworthy to belong to
someone. This phenomenon might seem to be odd at times. Right? But would you
believe me when I say that it is human tendency to get attracted towards
negativity more than positivity? Well yes!
To make this
point more relevant, I have a situation for ya’ll.
What is the first
thought that comes to your mind, whenever you are about to start something
really important to you or for the people around you? As in, related to career
or maybe your family etc. etc. Well, let me tell you. All you think
about is:
- · What if this plan fails?
- · What if this doesn’t turn out to be
the way I want it to?
- · What are others gonna think?
- · I’m not at all confident for where
this will ultimately lead me. And so on...
While
technically, all you should think about is:
- · This plan is going to do wonders.
- · What I am doing, is for the betterment
of everybody around me.
- · I’ve worked upon this real hard and
now I shouldn’t care what others will think. Moreover, it isn’t harming them in
any sense.
- · This is just a try and what harm if I
face rejection? Life doesn’t end here. I may get better choices to make in
future, if not this time.
Therefore,
now you see, why it is okay to not feel okay. I understand, that it’s not that
easy to keep yourself motivated all the time but you need to understand, that everything
is difficult, if we think it is. By the time you get busy gathering
motivation, the problem behind ends up turning much worse and difficult to
handle than it was before. Hence, believe in yourself, keep your spirits high
and always trust that there’s nothing in this world that is difficult for you
to handle. It’s all in the mind! Just some kinda brain games you know.
Coming back to my questions I asked in the beginning...
Letting go, ignoring, overlooking and side-lining issues for
once, is truly very easy but somewhere within you is an urge to face, a spark
to speak, a ray to acknowledge, a passion to stay and react. And you know what?
That very small glint can save you from the enormous misery of regret that
awaits you, if today you chose to leave.
